De Watergroep extends partnership with Itineris
January 8, 2018
The largest water utility in Flanders, Belgium, renews private-cloud customer information system and ERP support contract with Itineris following competitive analysis of the market.
Itineris is pleased to announce that De Watergroep—which provides water services to more than three million people across the Flanders region of Belgium—has renewed its decade-long strategic partnership with Itineris for support and managed services around its UMAX customer information system (CIS) and ERP solutions through 2022, with a contingent extension to 2025.
The contract renewal follows an extensive competitive review by De Watergroep to reaffirm the value of the historic partnership.
“We were pleased to find through our market analysis that Itineris continues to deliver the highest-quality support and managed services around its UMAX solutions, at a competitive cost level”, said De Watergroep IT Manager Bert De Winter. “Itineris has been a key technology partner as our business has grown over the last decade, and we look forward to their support as our industry and business continues to evolve in the years ahead.”
Better together
De Watergroep first partnered with Itineris in 2008 as the company prepared for a season of strategic growth but faced limitations by its legacy customer information system. With its UMAX CIS and related support services, Itineris was able to cut De Watergroep’s CIS management costs in half while also providing expertise that freed resources to focus on business objectives. Itineris pioneered by delivering a fully hosted solution managed in a remote, secure datacenter.
In 2015, De Watergroep expanded the partnership footprint by adding the Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform, with both CIS and ERP now hosted in a private-cloud environment managed by Itineris. The new solutions increased end-users supported by the systems from 250 in 2008 to more than 900 across De Watergroep’s 18 service centers.
The best is yet to come
The new contract ensures that De Watergroep can confidently focus on the industry challenges and opportunities coming in the years ahead while relying on Itineris to support these mission-critical solutions through 2022, with a built-in extension option for 2025.
“We are very pleased to continue serving De Watergroep as a strategic technology and business partner,” noted Itineris CEO and Founder Edgard Vermeersch. “The fact that we are able to extend our offering proves that UMAX and the Itineris team have truly delivered added value to De Watergroep over the last 10 years. Our team works together with De Watergroep on a true partnership basis, seeking to increase performance day after day.”
