In cooperation with Itineris and Paymentus, the Sarasota County Public Utilities Department has successfully deployed its new Itineris UMAX customer information system (CIS), customer self-service system, field mobile work management system, and Paymentus payment solution on time and on budget.

After a thorough evaluation of leading utility CIS vendors, Sarasota selected Itineris’ UMAX, a native cloud-based solution built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, to replace its nearly 30-year-old legacy CIS solution. With it, Sarasota will achieve faster, more reliable business processes through operational efficiencies, including automated workflows and queue management. UMAX has empowered the county’s end users with enhanced customer experience and self-service capabilities, which will substantially reduce inquiries and turnaround times, alleviate customer service representative workload, and enable them to focus on higher-value operational tasks.

Sarasota viewed the adoption of this best-of-breed technology as a critical step forward in innovation and technological excellence, crucial to meeting their commitment to delivering efficient, effective, and responsive service to their residents.

“UMAX was chosen not only for what it can do today but for how it can evolve with us.

Its flexibility and adaptability ensure that as our organization, our community, and our needs continue to grow, the system will grow and change right alongside us. We are not just adopting a new system; we are embracing a new way of serving our residents and supporting each other.”

Division Manager of Customer Services and Technology at Sarasota County
